About Advance Northumberland

We are looking for a Programme Manager to join our Economic Growth Team. The Economic Growth Team have an established track record as a provider of inward investment and business support services, including start-up and growth programmes. We continue to provide comprehensive support to businesses across the County and are funded through a combination of operating profits from our commercial activities and external grant funding.
Your new role: As the Programme Manager
Key duties & responsibilities:
- To manage the successful delivery of the Ashington High Street Innovation Project.
- To effectively manage a £390k budget and to ensure the achievement of a set of KPIs, milestones and outputs.
- To coordinate the project team, the wider Advance team, delivery partners and external contractors in support of Ashington High Street Innovation Project activity.
- To ensure delivery of all aspects of the programme strands in compliance with the NTCA funding agreement.
- To work in partnership with the North of Tyne Combined Authority and Northumberland County Council to deliver the programme.
To succeed in this role
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate key skills and experience in the following key areas:
- Experience and proven track record in the management and delivery of business support programmes for economic growth.
- Experience of managing a project/programme budget.
- Previous experience of financial and output management.
- Experience of working with and managing a range of sectors and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
