CSR is a key strategic priority for Advance Northumberland. It plays an important role in, responding to community expectations, and demonstrating a clear commitment to operating as a responsible, values‑led business. By actively engaging with and supporting the communities in which we operate, we build social conscience across the organisation and reinforce our role as a responsible local employer and business owner. To embed this commitment, the company allocates 1% of net profit toward CSR initiatives.

The CSR objectives are designed to ensure that Advance Northumberland continues to deliver meaningful and positive impact across Northumberland. Exploring new opportunities, supporting community needs, and helping to create lasting social and environmental value.

Key areas of focus include:

• Sustainability: Promoting sustainability across the County by reducing the organisation’s carbon footprint, minimising waste, and conserving natural resources. Continuing to champion environmentally responsible practices and build on progress achieved to date.
• Community Impact: Strengthening community engagement through charitable initiatives, volunteering programmes, events, and support for local causes. These activities are maximise social value, particularly within communities where Advance Northumberland is actively operating.
• Responsible Business Practices: Embedding responsible decision‑making across the organisation.

Community benefit is embedded into our projects, and we have vast experience of working sensitively in established communities and responding to local needs.
