Our maintenance team supports the business with the repairs and maintenance of our key assets, this includes, residential, commercial, grounds maintenance and new homes. We aim to deliver excellent service to all of our customers, regardless of the type of property occupied., making sure they are happy tenants.
We are increasing the size of the team and have an opportunity for an additional Gas Engineer to join our team.

The Role
This is a new role within our Maintenance Team, you will work as part of the wider team, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance and repair of domestic and commercial gas appliances in a wide variety of settings.
Role Purpose
To deliver high-quality gas servicing, maintenance, repairs, and installation works across occupied domestic properties, void homes, and facilities buildings. The Gas Engineer ensures all gas appliances and systems are safe, compliant, efficient, and reliable, while delivering excellent customer service and minimising disruption to tenants and building users. The role supports the organisation’s commitment to safety, compliance, energy efficiency, and well‑maintained homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out gas servicing, safety inspections, repairs, and installations on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
- Undertake fault diagnosis and corrective repairs on boilers, fires, cookers, pipework, and associated controls.
- Complete Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSR), service reports, and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure all works comply with Gas Safe regulations, manufacturer instructions, and organisational procedures.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to emergency gas repairs and call-outs as required.
- Carry out minor plumbing works associated with gas repairs including pipework, valves, and fixtures.
- Work safely and respectfully in occupied homes, maintaining clean work areas and clear communication with tenants.
- Support void property turnaround programmes to ensure properties are gas-safe and ready for occupation.
- Identify and report hazards including unsafe appliances, carbon monoxide risks, ventilation issues, or defective flues.
- Accurately record job details, photographs, materials used, and completion notes using digital devices.
Vehicle Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely and in line with UK road law and fleet policies.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects immediately.
- Maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle and comply with servicing schedules.
- Maintain van stock including gas fittings, tools, PPE, and testing equipment.
- Secure tools and materials safely during transit and on site.

- Immediately make safe and report dangerous gas situations or appliances.

- First-time fix performance.

- Accuracy of gas certification and digital records.

Personal Specification
Essential Criteria
You must have:
- Current Gas Safe registration with in-date ACS qualifications including CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 (or role-appropriate equivalents).
- Proven experience in domestic gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of Gas Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade maintenance team.
- Experience working in occupied properties and void environments.
- Good IT and digital job management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable: Commercial gas, LPG, CMDD, or renewable technology qualifications.
