Advance Northumberland is a property Investment, Estate Management and Development Company. Building new homes for rent and sale, attracting investment and business growth, managing delivery of major projects, providing a diverse portfolio to support businesses and regeneration and helping you find a place to call home. We are looking for an Employer Engagement Co-ordinator to join our Economic Growth Team on a temporary basis.  The post is funded by a partnership of DWP and the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NoTCA).

Your new role: As our Employer Engagement Co-ordinator:

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Engage businesses to provide job opportunities for young unemployed people in Northumberland. 
  • Engage employers in the delivery of regular youth employability activities including mentoring circles, careers events, mock interviews etc.
  • Contribute to the development of a place-based / sectoral employer engagement plan, in conjunction with NTCA /LA counterparts and DWP Employer Engagement Team
  • Work with colleagues to identify and engage with inward investors / growth sector industries to create new opportunities.
  • Drive business awareness of the NTCA Good Work Pledge as a mechanism for engagement and to open a broad conversation with business.
  • Utilise a range of projects and programmes, including Kickstart, Adult Education Budget funded Sector-based Work Academy Programmes SWAPs), apprenticeships, and traineeships to identify opportunities for young people as part of the Youth Employment Partnership.
  • Work in partnership with business engagement roles in the wider partnership, including Local Authorities, business support organisations, and Job Centre Plus employer advisors to coordinate efforts and intelligence.
  • Work collaboratively with the youth employment partnership to ensure intelligence, research and policy developments are well communicated, understood and implemented in an integrated way.
  • Deliver programme outcomes required by the funder.

 

 To succeed in this role:

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate key skills and experience in the following key areas:

  • Detailed knowledge of business needs relating to recruitment, training and workforce planning.
  • Proven practical knowledge of how to engage with and maintain relationships with a wide range of employers.
  • Specialist understanding of the particular needs of SMEs.
  • Detailed understanding of the employment and training support available to businesses.
  • Detailed understanding of the opportunities available to employers through apprenticeships, traineeships and other government programmes.
  • Expert understanding of the labour market and business base of Northumberland and the North of Tyne area.

We are looking for a Residential Sales Manager to join Ascent Homes.

Your new role: As the Residential Sales Manager:

Key duties & responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Residential Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for the performance and management of a team of Home Sales Executives working across various sites.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the team achieve sales targets for allocated sites in accordance with approved divisional budget/forecast and sales and marketing plans
Your role will include establishing the training requirements of your team, to ensure we deliver a great service to our customers.
You will need to liaise with the internal build and commercial teams as well as external agents including solicitors and financial institutions to ensure achieving target completions.
You will also liaise with our marketing team to ensure the correct sales documentation is available in a timely manner and that the sales offices and show homes are ready and represent the lifestyle aspirations of our purchasers.
You will, of course, be responsible for the ongoing Health and Safety of your team and customers.


To succeed in this role:

You must be able to demonstrate key skills and experience in the following areas:

  • In depth experience of residential sales and the ability to demonstrate a track record of managing a high performing sales team

Driven to deliver and commercially focused

Experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and compliance with external protocol and requirements

A self-starter and self-motivated individual who can work independently with high levels of autonomy and have the ability to direct a team of staff based at multiple locations.

Conversant in building and NHBC requirements and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Service drive, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work under pressure in a target orientated environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as needed.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
