We are looking for a Customer Care Inspector to join Ascent Homes.

Having achieved significant growth over the last 3 years, Ascent Homes and Advance Northumberland have a clear ambition to lead and drive delivery, secure investment and provide a vibrant place for people and businesses in Northumberland.

Your new role: As the Customer Care Inspector:

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out running in checks of homes and stock properties to ensure that they are ready for occupation and without defect.
  • Establish and maintain pro-active relationships with the production team and internal customers.
  • Establish effective procedures for managing quality and resolution of items raised to allow production to complete all works within program timescales.
  • Carry out property inspections, coordinating remedial repair work with Customer Care Team and ensuring satisfactory completion.
  • Meet with homeowners and liaise with Internal Build team, Sales team and external Subcontractors.
  • Liaise with NHBC inspectors where required.
  • Undertake the final mechanical, electrical and functional inspections of our homes prior to acceptance from the build team to ensure that they operate perfectly and are in the highest state of excellence.

 

To succeed in this role:

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate key skills and experience in the following key areas:

  • Experience in building work and the requirements of the NHBC standards
  • Experience in residential properties and the ability to demonstrate a track record of dealing with remedial and repair works in a customer facing environment.
  • A broad understanding of the construction process and previous relevant experience
  • An uncompromising and critical eye for detail
  • A background in delivering high quality homes and/or investigating, identifying and resolving defects in completed homes
  • Proven understanding of the function of mechanical and electrical installations in new homes
  • Proven and relevant housebuilding or construction experience and/or a construction related qualification such as City and Guilds, HNC, HND or NVQ (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Service drive, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Your new role: As our Assistant Commercial Surveyor

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • To provide high quality property advise and support, and to assist in driving up revenue streams which contributes towards our business objectives.
  • Undertake General Practice surveying; Property management, rent reviews, lease renewals, deal with Landlord and Tenant issues, undertake valuations and budget monitoring.
  • Carry our effective negotiations and provide accurate instructions to our Finance and Legal teams.
  • Preparing reports and data analysis.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be working towards or have achieved a degree in Estate Management (or equivalent qualification accredited by the RICS)
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Commercial Property environment.
  • Knowledge of commercial property legislation and current property issues.
  • Evidence of commitment to achieving professional development and embrace new challenges

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Surveyor to support the work of the Estates Team who manage a diverse property portfolio of industrial, office, workspace and land.

Your new role: As our Senior Commercial Surveyor

Key duties & responsibilities:

• To provide high quality property advise and support and be responsible for driving up revenue streams which contributes towards our business objectives.

• Undertake General Practice surveying; Property management, rent reviews, lease renewals, Landlord and Tenant, undertake valuations and budget monitoring.

• Carry our effective negotiations and provide accurate instructions to our Finance and Legal teams.

• Preparing reports and data analysis.  

• Line manage and develop Assistant Surveyors

• Deputise for the Commercial Manager as required

Requirements

• The successful candidate will have a degree in Estate Management (or equivalent qualification accredited by the RICS)

• Hold MRICS qualification and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.

• Detailed knowledge and experience of Commercial Property environment.

• Experience of Landlord and Tenant issues.

• Previous line management experience
