Business Support Goes Digital

Northumberland based digital support programme, Business Northumberland goes digital to continue to support businesses across the North East to allow them to make the best of their online presence in wake of COVID-19.

Business Northumberland have been delivering fully funded digital support across the county since 2019 through workshops, face to face meetings and various events.  However in light of the current circumstances and restrictions in place following COVID-19, they have quickly adapted and changed the way in which they deliver their support services.

Business Growth Advisers have been delivering 1-2-1 support to businesses via video conferencing and all workshops will now be delivered online, meaning that businesses are still able to receive support in real time as well as eliminating the issue of travelling across Northumberland to attend workshops and appointments. This has made the support become more accessible than ever before to businesses based across Northumberland and the wider North East Region.

The workshop programme will cover the five core subjects of digital marketing; strategy, social media, Microsoft Office training- including Microsoft Teams, Ecommerce, Websites and SEO and promises the same great content delivered by the same great trainers, including new content helping businesses understand how to survive these unprecedented times.

Business Northumberland provides support to small and medium enterprises across the North East who are looking to sustain and grow their business online. The fully funded support programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Advance Northumberland, so there is no cost to eligible businesses when accessing the support.

Businesses registered to the programme are able to access the courses completely free as well as have access to the online programmes and network of hundreds of businesses in the North East.
