Salary – Apprentice rate, based on age, rising to From £24,242.40 on completion of apprenticeship.

THE ROLE
This is a new additional role to support the team with administration tasks. As an apprentice we will give you the skills and knowledge to commence a career in people management. It is expected that you will attend day release or study for one day per week. The role is fast paced, you will need to have the ability to learn to be an effective communicator both written and verbal. You should have good IT skills and be able to learn new systems. We are looking for someone who wants to make a career in this field and grow with the role, as Advance Northumberland increases the number of people who work across the business.

Job Description and Person Specification
Job title: People Administrator (Apprentice)
Reports to: People Adviser
Team members: N/A
Location: Head office, plus visits to site as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the collation and processing of accurate recording and effective maintenance of all types of employee records and documents. Handle confidential and sensitive information in line with Data protection guidelines. Maintaining electronic employee files including filing, auditing, and report preparation
2. Assist with all payroll amends onto system, ensuring accuracy of information.
3. Become key user of Cezanne and provide advice to users as needed. Ensure accurate recording of sickness information and all documentation completed in timely manner.
4. Support compilation and development of individual training needs analysis documents.
5. Support timely recruitment service to internal colleagues. Liaise with recruitment agencies / consultants. Carry out appropriate pre-employment checks.
6. Raise purchase orders for approval on finance system.
7. Support the induction and onboarding of newly appointed and promoted colleagues. Produce name badges for new and promoted colleagues.
8. Draft contracts of employment for approval, record the flow of documentation in and out of the business.
9. Support Wellbeing initiatives, coordinate meetings and campaigns.
10. Support various meetings with minute taking, including health and safety and employee forum.

Personal Specification
Essential Criteria
You must have:
· Understanding of Data Protection principles and the practices involved in managing and accessing confidential personal information
· Good interpersonal skills
· Strong IT skills with the ability to manipulate data
· NVQ level 3 – working towards and ambition to complete CIPD level 3
· Excellent organisation skills
· Able to plan your own time and the time of others
· Ability to be a credible team player
It would be good but not essential if you also have:
Experience of using Cezanne HR software
