Background
“Invest Northumberland” is the vehicle used to promote inward investment and economic regeneration in Northumberland. Invest Northumberland is made up of the Inward Investment and Investments team who promote land development opportunities, strategic sites, office and industrial opportunities and town centre regeneration to investors from the UK and across the world. Each year the team promote opportunities in Northumberland to investors through online and face to face meetings as well as tradeshow events in the UK along with sector specific events outside of the UK.
Our key sectors are:
- Renewable energy and offshore wind
- Electrification
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Pharmaceuticals and life sciences
- Food and drink
- Strategic tourism
- Rural economy
Requirements
To continue the promotion of Northumberland to investors, through the Invest Northumberland brand, we have developed a brief to support the production of an inward investment suite of materials including literature to challenge our messaging around inward investment.
We require:
- The design and production of a suite of literature which provides an overview of the inward investment process in Northumberland, sectors, key sites, businesses, statistics and data, case studies and key assets for digital and print purposes.
- Literature that covers a sector specific deep dive into our key sectors as listed under the heading ‘Background’
- Production of content that can be used and/or edited digitally for the Invest Northumberland website and in and printed literature
In the proposition we would like the successful applicant to:
- Challenge our key messages – are they fit for purpose?
- Conduct competitor analysis and understand how we can improve our messaging
- Challenge our proposition around the inward investment literature required
Our key sectors are critical to our work in the inward investment sector. Our existing literature is now outdated therefore requires a refresh. We are open as to how the suite of literature could be presented be that in a brochure, flyer or factsheet format - we are keen to be challenged on this through competitor analysis conducted by the successful applicant.
Objectives
The objective is to promote investment opportunities, share relevant information about Northumberland and portray key selling messages to investors considering investment in the county. The literature produced will be used in the following ways, in order to meet the objective:
- Printed for use at UK and international trade shows
- Provided to investors in both virtual and face to face meetings to showcase investment opportunities and sector specific information
- Available to download from the Invest Northumberland website
Audiences
The literature is aimed at investors and foreign direct investment looking to invest in Northumberland. These investment opportunities can range from office space and industrial units to large scale land development projects such as the recent investment from JDR at Northumberland Energy Park. Please note, English may not be the investors first language.
