About The Role
Overview
As our Communications and Engagement Co-ordinator, you will report to Alex our Head of Marketing and Communications and be part of a cohesive Marketing team. The role covers a broad mix of responsibilities in a truly diverse business.

Salary: £29,500 starting salary with performance related incentive scheme and excellent benefits.
Location: You will be working at the Advance Northumberland Wansbeck Workspace, located in Ashington, Northumberland, Rotary Parkway, NE63 8QZ. There will be an expectation that you will need to travel to other locations within Northumberland.

Role Profile
Job title: Communications and Engagement Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Marketing and Communications

Location: Wansbeck Workspace and other locations as part of role.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Coordinator will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality internal and external communications that enhance the reputation of Advance Northumberland and its family of brands. Working across a wide range of projects, developments and community initiatives, you will create engaging content, support media relations, digital channels and help ensure consistent messaging across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Produce engaging content for websites, newsletters, press releases and marketing campaigns.
· Support the delivery of internal communications to promote business priorities, achievements and organisational values.
· Assist with media enquiries and build positive relationships with journalists and external stakeholders.
· Support the planning and delivery of events, launches, stakeholder engagement activities and corporate initiatives.
· Assist in the development of communication and stakeholder engagement plans for regeneration, housing, commercial and community projects.
· Monitor campaign performance and provide reports and recommendations for improvement.
· Work closely with ELT and colleagues across the business to identify and promote positive news stories and project milestones.
· Provide media statements and comms for ELT members, advising on political neutrality as appropriate.

Personal Specification
Essential Criteria
You must have:
· Degree, HND or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related discipline.
· Experience in a communications, marketing or public relations role.
· Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
· Experience managing website content.
· Excellent organisational and project management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Requirements
· Experience working within property, housing, regeneration, local government or the public sector.
· Knowledge of media relations and stakeholder engagement
· UK driving license and access to a car for own travel.
