In preparation for the delivery of a major new development to reposition Bedlington as a retail destination, Advance Northumberland will now need to hoard off the full development site.

Advance Northumberland will fence off the car park on the former Tesco site, by Schalksmuhle Road for the next stages of development. This will be a phased approach with fencing being erected from the 13th September and within a few days the whole car park will be hoarded off for the development, with no access to the site and no public parking.

The 1.5 acre site will deliver a new, 19,000 sq ft anchor food store in the heart of Bedlington Town Centre,  with a number of other national retailers lined up to join them.

Working on behalf of Northumberland County Council, Advance Northumberland is leading in the delivery of a major new development that will reposition Bedlington as a retail destination, improving amenities and giving local people greater choice.
